Overview We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for an 18-week locum tenens assignment at a community hospital in Texas. This opportunity begins on Nov 17, 2025, and offers a schedule with a heavy focus on night shifts within a Trauma Designated Emergency Department. The physician will provide care in an emergency department within a hospital, working alongside advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive emergency services for primarily adult and geriatric populations.

Schedule: Heavy focus on nights; physician shifts include 6a-3p, 1p-1p, 9p-6a; APP shifts include 8a-6p, 12p-10p, 6p-4a; 27 hours of daily physician coverage and 30 hours of daily APP coverage

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide emergency medical care in an emergency department

Manage all lifesaving procedures, including:

Intubation

Vent management

Chest tube insertion

Arterial line placement

Central line placement

Care for all patient ages, with a primary focus on adult and geriatric populations

Collaborate with advanced practice providers on patient management

Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination

Additional Information

Must have trauma experience

Must be licensed to practice in Florida

Board certification not required for this assignment

Ongoing contract pool with potential for contract extension based on performance and availability
