Opportunities for Advancement STATEMENT OF THE JOB Catholic Charities Neighborhood Services (CCNS) Clinical Director School Satellites is responsible for the oversight and delivery of mental health and wellness services in school-based mental health clinic satellites. This includes developing and managing relationships between CCNS and the Principals/school leaders and collaborating with CCNS management to meet monthly revenue goals, overseeing the school-based clinicians, providing training and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of services being provided. The Clinical Director School Satellites is responsible for representing CCNS to large and various audiences, conducting presentations, and actively engaging and managing staff participation in demos, workshops, etc. This position is ideal for professionals with a proven track record in implementing evidence-based mental health best practices. The Clinical Director School Satellites will provide subject-matter expertise in addition to developing policies and designing and implementing priority projects. The Clinical Director School Satellites will work in partnership with the CCNS management team, school teams, school districts, institutions of higher education, health systems, and other stakeholders to support the ongoing success of current and future CCNS school-based programs projects. •

Planning, coordinating, identifying and implementing program outcomes and evaluation, strategic planning, accreditation efforts and program development. •

Awareness, preparation and participation in internal and external audits. Assist clinicians with scheduling of collaterals and other billable services during their downtime. Assist clinicians in meeting their weekly capacity target goals. Monitor and provide daily reports to senior management on clinicians' compliance with EHR documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, etc.) and compliance with meeting the timeframe in which to complete documentation (same day). Ensure that clinicians are consistently completing their daily administrative tasks, including but not limited to, effectively utilizing the EHR and other databases entering their schedule into Weekly Schedule and obtaining documentation of services delivered upon service completion, and are consistently submitting their daily reports. Attend Director's Meetings, Staff Meetings, and Trainings, Back-to School Nights, Agency and Community-based meetings as needed Conduct weekly clinical and administrative supervision with school-based clinicians. Be proactive in bringing solutions to challenges and bring areas of concern to the attention of senior management. Ensure the clinicians are provided with the support and resources they need to deliver high quality services. This includes but not limited to, developing their skills by providing feedback on their service delivery, opportunities to enhance their school relationships, assigning them to stretch projects, and submitting performance evaluations. Participate in budget and financial planning and tracking. Develop Corrective Action Plans related to audit and/or Quality Assurance activities – including implementation of the Corrective Action Plan at the program level. Assure that program goals, objectives and the Agency Mission are understood, fostered and supported throughout at the program level Complete required reporting for school-based initiatives Identifying and reporting issues that may have a negative impact on the reputation of the Agency, client and/or staff welfare or any corporate compliance issue Managing Schools & Relationships: Conduct meetings with school leaders to discuss referral process and marketing of school mental health program within the school. Continually check in with School Leaders (e.g. Principals, AP, Teacher, Leaders) to develop good relationships and assess the quality of CCNS Mental Health and Wellness services. Meet with School Leaders (e.g. Principals) to discuss and decide on additional services CCNS can provide for the school. Meet at the end of the school year with School leaders to review successes and areas of need improvement and make plans for the following year. Work closely with the Department of Health/ Mental Health and the broader Institute to build out a statewide strategy to support best practices in school mental health across New York City. Support the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of multiple school mental health-related projects and initiatives at the K-12 and post-secondary educational levels. Assist with development and submission of grant proposals, track and monitor grant deliverables and timelines, and support completion of grant reports.

QUALIFICATIONS •

Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution. •

Valid NYS LCSW. •

Upon eligibility, obtain/retain Medicare UPIN credential and Managed Care Provider applications required for programs that bill 3rd party payers for services. •

Three (3) years of supervisory experience •

Clinical experience in a treatment program under Article 31 of the Mental Hygiene Law preferred. •

Content expertise in school mental health programs and practices, such as school counseling, social emotional learning, school discipline and restorative practices, multitiered systems of support and others. •

Proficient in the fundamentals of implementing and scaling discrete programs, aligned with a strategic vision, in school settings. •

Interest and commitment to stay up to date on current school mental health best practices and research literature that may prove useful in project work with education partners. •

Passion for improving the mental health of children, youth, and families. •

Excellent clinical & administrative supervisory skills along with three years of mental health &/or substance abuse experience. •

Time management, organizational, and computer skills. •

Ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations. •

Comfortable with public speaking, lobbying, and advocacy. •

Excellent oral and written communication skills. •

Flexibility & Creativity. •

Able to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. •

Ability to travel to all School Based Clinic Satellites throughout Brooklyn and Queens during all hours of operation. •

Able to lift up to 10 pounds. •

Able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, & office equipment. •
