Serve as an Advanced Practice Provider for Urology, providing care for and coordinating efforts related to Men’s Health urologic conditions, sexual medicine, infertility, hormone replacement, and other relevant conditions. Also provide care for the general urology patient population as needed. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative patient care, conducting clinical sessions, and performing basic clinical procedures, including testing and counseling patients both in person and remotely.

Minimum Training and Experience

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program, with current licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina.

Physician Assistant

or

APRN License (Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP, Adult NP, or Family NP)

Supervision

Assigned a Primary Supervising/Collaborating Physician employed by MUSC.

Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

Current BLS certification, DHEC, and DEA licenses (applications to be started prior to first day).

Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations

Evaluate and treat based on clinical findings and tests

Initiate referrals and consult with physicians

Document and bill for care provided

Utilize evidence-based practices

Participate in quality improvement and research activities

Support accreditation and compliance efforts

Maintain professional development and licensure

Potential to precept students and train new team members

Additional Requirements

Graduation from an accredited PA or Nurse Practitioner program, licensure in South Carolina, NCCPA certification (for PAs), and current BLS certification.
