Section Director of Healthcare Epidemiology & Antimicrobial Stewardship

and

Medical Director of Infection Prevention at Washington University . Washington University is nationally recognized for its leadership in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and healthcare epidemiology, with a long-standing commitment to training the next generation of leaders in infectious diseases. Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of faculty, fellows, and staff in advancing healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship across WashU’s clinical and academic settings. Responsibilities include: Strategic leadership of the Section of Healthcare Epidemiology & Antibiotic Stewardship, including mentoring junior faculty, developing training opportunities for ID fellows, and guiding research and scholarly initiatives. Oversight of infection prevention for WashU, including its large academic clinical practice group spanning 77 specialties and subspecialties, undergraduate campus, and medical research campus. Collaboration with WashU departments and clinical partners to provide guidance and education related to infection prevention, emerging infectious threats, and outpatient infection control practices. Conducting site visits, delivering training, and engaging with multi-disciplinary teams across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Contributing to the strategic direction and management of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Leadership of the educational elective and curriculum in infection prevention Qualifications

MD or DO with board certification in Infectious Diseases (BC/BE) Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Missouri Demonstrated experience and scholarly contributions in infection prevention and/or antimicrobial stewardship Leadership experience in a clinical, academic, or public health setting strongly preferred Application Instructions
