We are currently seeking a Director of Domestic Violence Services. Responsibilities

General Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Domestic Violence Services provides overall management of the domestic violence shelters, the crisis line, the domestic violence supportive housing programs, Tri-Valley Haven’s transitional home, and restraining order clinic. Leads weekly departmental staff meetings. Responsible for oversight of facilities. Assures contract compliance and performance. Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and terminating departmental staff. Initiate programs and funding. Part of the Tri-Valley Haven Management Team. OVERSIGHT OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES DEPARTMENT: Responsible for overall management and operations of the shelters, the Tri-Valley Haven Hotline, the housing programs, and all DV wrap around services; keeps the Executive Director current on issues. Oversee documentation and client files: ensure staff and volunteers record services and statistics and keep client files updated on the client database. Create, present and track department budgets and present annual program budgets to Executive Director. Oversee screening of clients, and guide case managers in adhering to established intake/assistance qualification guidelines. Responsible for complying with all laws, including elder abuse reporting, CPS reporting, 5150 laws and suicide assessment. Comply with all legal and ethical mandates regarding client welfare. Assures that SOPs, client intake packets, client information packets, safety protocols, I & R materials, and any other information related to shelter services are reviewed and updated on an annual basis or more frequently as needed. Responsible for oversight of facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and that the facilities are maintained in a homelike manner to the best degree possible. In conjunction with Tri-Valley Haven Contracts Manager, assures contract compliance. Responsible for contract performance on domestic violence services contracts, adhere to reporting guidelines and submit program reports in a timely manner. Oversee client grievances process. DEPARTMENTAL STAFF SUPERVISION Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and terminating departmental staff, volunteer interns and trainees. Responsible for leading weekly departmental staff meetings. Maintain or oversee records on all departmental staff: job descriptions, concrete work plans, performance reviews, time sheets, and expense reimbursement requests. Assure that personnel practices are in conformance with agency philosophy, policies, and legal requirements. Maintains a high level of work ethic and keeps Executive Director updated on all departmental and program issues. GENERAL TASKS Make community education/public speaking presentations representing Tri-Valley Haven including presenting sessions for the agency’s advocacy training. Provide the Executive Director with a monthly departmental status report including program funds spending status. Attend Management Team meetings as scheduled. Attend staff meetings and Board/Staff meetings as needed. Participate in community fundraising and special events as needed. Must have an insured automobile that employee will use as necessary for agency related business, including transportation of clients. Must maintain a good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in order to be able to drive for the agency. OTHER RELATED TASKS AS ASSIGNED BY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR WITHIN THE SCOPE OF TRI-VALLEY HAVEN’S MISSION. Qualifications

Required skills: BA degree required, related master’s degree preferred Five years at a non-profit agency with two years’ residential management preferred Experience in Planning, monitoring and reporting department budget and spending Experience in planned spending of grant funds and preparing grant reports for funders Experience in staff supervision, training, yearly evaluations Ability to report to work in person everyday General skills:

Flexibility and ability to manage time and tasks effectively, developing a deep understanding of the Domestic Violence Services program and actively working in improving processes and services, adept in problem solving and crisis management. High level of literacy and risk management skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint etc., Experience in using client databases, Completion of Agency Training within 6 months of employment (if not before). Benefits
