Senior Portfolio Manager (Business Development Manager) — Chicago, IL (or Pittsburgh, PA) | Relocation Assistance Available | Hybrid Are you a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and results-driven leader? As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you’ll take the lead on high-value engineering projects ($1MM+ project fees) and serve as the trusted advisor to clients across the chemical, metals, construction, and industrial markets. You’ll be at the intersection of business development and project leadership—driving growth, managing execution, and ensuring excellence every step of the way. What You’ll Do
Build and grow client relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted partner. Lead project execution—scope, schedule, budget, and risk management for large-scale industrial projects. Drive business growth by supporting new opportunities, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts. Manage project financials, pricing strategies, and profitability. Deliver results by optimizing performance, mitigating risks, and ensuring client satisfaction. Lead teams to deliver innovation, safety, and efficiency. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. 5+ years of business development experience in professional or consultative services. Strong client relationship management skills with a proven ability to build long-term partnerships. Knowledge of safety, compliance, contracts, and liability management. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Compensation & Benefits
