What We’re Looking For

Iridium is seeking an Executive Director for NTN to join our Sales and Marketing Team. As Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for the creation of and the P&L for the new NTN & Cellular Line of Business (LOB) including setting the strategy and leading the execution of new products, services, pricing, marketing, and distribution initiatives required to deliver revenue growth and profitability that achieves Iridium’s annual and long-term forecasts. You will provide front line employees and channel partners with the sales, marketing, training, and support tools required to meet or exceed sales growth targets and provide a world class customer experience with Iridium’s newest offerings related to both non terrestrial networks (NTN) as well as the creation of new Cellular and Roaming based offerings. You will also provide thought leadership for media, analysts, distribution partners that best positions Iridium’s NTN & Cellular offering within the market to support revenue growth objectives and positive category branding within the market.

What You’ll Do

Foster and develop a highly effective team of product and market development professionals to conduct market research, identify new opportunities, develop new product and service requirements, lead go-to-market plans, train channel partner and drive sales objectives.

Drive the creation of a new business unit for Iridium which will develop and expand NTN and Cellular services. This will include services sold to existing Iridium customers, services sold in partnership with global Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and services sold to new prospects and partners.

Develop and optimize the NTN & Cellular LOB strategy for new products, services, pricing, marketing, and distribution based on market research, competitive positioning, product performance, market needs, and revenue opportunity.

Develop and manage the NTN & Cellular line of business annual and long-term forecast based on trends, market intelligence, channel partner input, supply availability, and new product and service introductions.

Ensure NTN & Cellular Business Unit team has resources, guidance, training, and support required to achieve performance objectives and professional growth that meets or exceeds corporate objectives and annual employee satisfaction survey results.

Implement the creation and administration of the ongoing budget including operational expenses driven by staffing, travel, training, research and development, and demo equipment.

Establish cross-functional relationships among teams to ensure sales, marketing, training, and support tools are provided to front line employees and channel partners to meet or exceed sales growth targets and provide a world class customer experience with Iridium’s terrestrial products and services.

Provide thought leadership for media, analysts, distribution partners that best positions Iridium’s terrestrial offering within the market to support revenue growth objectives and positive category branding within the market.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Previous management experience including sales and channel / distribution management

Previous experience in either NTN or Cellular based service offerings

Capable of being a strong motivator and source of direction for your team and exemplifying commitment to the company’s goals

Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to facilitate collaboration across multiple departments

Must possess a strategic mindset and be capable of planning objectives for an entire team

The ability to identify and evaluate challenges and come up with effective solutions

Able to confidently drive discussions, make decisions, and respond to difficult situations

Have a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and results

Things that You Must Bring to the Table

Bachelor’s degree

15+ years of business leadership at a telecommunications product/service-oriented company

Experience with strategic planning, revenue growth, forecasting, and department management

Experience leading programs in a cross-functional organization

Experience providing thought leadership with media, analysts, and customers

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table

Experience in Communications / Telecommunications industries

Experience in Cellular IOT, Cellular Distribution, Roaming and or MVNO development

We’ll also need you to

Ability to travel up to 60% of the time

Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
