Offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic (hybrid possibility for established in-state engineers) Our client, a well-established and growing multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm, is seeking a
Senior Project Manager or Business Unit Lead
to oversee and expand their Water/Wastewater (W-WW) practice across multiple regional offices. This is a strategic leadership opportunity with a clear path to executive-level advancement. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and business development acumen to help shape the future of the W-WW division. Licensing:
PE or EIT license is mandatory (Professional Engineering License). Base pay
$140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Division Leadership:
Provide vision and direction for the W-WW team across multiple offices, mentoring emerging leaders and fostering a high-performance culture. Project Oversight:
Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Technical Authority:
Serve as a senior technical resource on treatment systems, distribution, stormwater, and conveyance design. Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal, authority, and private sector clients. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all projects meet applicable environmental and permitting standards. Business Development:
Support strategic growth initiatives, including proposal development and client outreach. Operational Management:
Potential to lead a regional office with full P&L responsibility, depending on location and experience. Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering Professional Engineer
License, or ability to obtain within 2 years Experience:
15+ years in water/wastewater engineering, with leadership in large-scale projects Technical Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and water/sewer modeling software Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff Mobility:
Willingness to attend public meetings and travel between regional offices as needed Benefits and Other Details
