We are seeking a strategically minded Senior Director and problem solver to provide financial leadership to Capital One Software's business. This person will sit on the Capital One Software leadership team and directly support members of the Executive Committee. The role will create business cases to evaluate expected return on investment for initiatives across the software business, including model creation, consolidation of results, and coordination of the process for both the business and Card Finance. This role requires strong customer focus, partnering abilities, problem solving, strategic thinking, executive-level communication, and influencing skills to effectively: Articulate outcomes of analysis, along with relevant insights and recommendations Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization, specifically as we add new products Communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences Responsibilities
Applies integrative thinking to help build a scalable software business Create guardrails to forecast revenue and the marginal cost of adding new products Drives multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working with subject matter experts across strategy, finance, and corporate development Communicates analytic insights through clear, executive-ready presentations and develops analytic frameworks to solve critical questions and guide strategic decision making Leverages sound business judgment to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendations with supporting rationale Builds relationships across the organization by partnering with peers and senior leaders Lead and build a team of associates to support the business Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 12 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combination At least 2 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function At least 5 years of people management experience Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license 10+ years of experience managing an FP&A function 10+ years of people management experience including both direct and indirect reports 5+ years of experience working with startups At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. Salaries are for candidates hired to work within one of these locations and reflect the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. McLean, VA: $234,000 - $267,100 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt; New York, NY: $255,300 - $291,300 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt; Plano, TX: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt; Richmond, VA: $212,800 - $242,800 for Sr. Director, Financial Mgt. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location. The actual annualized salary offered will be stated in the offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
