Summary

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System is seeking a Physician - Rehabilitation and Extended Care (REC) Integrated Clinical Community (ICC) Director. This role is within the Rehabilitation and Extended Care service line in St. Cloud, MN. The ideal candidate will possess strong managerial and organizational skills, along with extensive clinical knowledge in rehabilitation and extended care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualifications

Applicants must meet the basic and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Pending training or license completion applicants may be tentatively referred, but employment is contingent upon meeting all requirements. VA-employed physicians who initially met the qualification standards are deemed qualified. Basic Requirements: U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens only if qualified citizens are unavailable) Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from an approved school Current, full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S. Completion of residency training approved by the VA or equivalent Residents enrolled in accredited programs may be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) Proficiency in spoken and written English Strong leadership, coalition-building, and communication skills are preferred Physical requirements include heavy lifting, prolonged walking, and other physical activities as detailed Duties

Oversee programs including a 225-bed Community Living Center, Palliative Care, Hospice, Adult Day Health Care, and others Advance personalized, proactive, patient-driven healthcare programs Coordinate all administrative and clinical functions of the REC ICC, supervising staff and physicians Ensure compliance with VHA, Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA standards Collaborate with quality teams to meet accreditation and internal evaluation standards Participate in medical staff committees and councils Provide clinical oversight for admissions and support staff in the CLC Engage in quality improvement, infection control, and hazard identification activities Educate staff and ensure policy adherence Offer a comprehensive total rewards package including incentives, competitive salary, paid time off, retirement, insurance, licensure, CME reimbursement, and malpractice coverage Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 0800-1630
