Part Time-Veterinary Radiology Technician
Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking for a part-time Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our Radiology team.

About the Job As a Vet Technician/Assistant in the Radiology department you will be responsible for:
Anesthesia Induction (RVT only)
Partnering with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Perform anesthetic monitoring including intubation/extubation of patients
Obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testing
Accurately take and process multiple types of radiographs
Oversee outpatient and inpatient radiology and imaging schedules, coordinate with other departments, staff and radiologists
Assist Advanced Imaging Technicians with high quality MRI/CT studies
Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner
Troubleshooting the machines and associated equipment
Thorough knowledge of K-9 and feline anatomy
Possess effective communication with clients, radiologists, and specialists
Help patient care when the imaging department has down time
Practicing proper radiation safety utilizing hands free techniques
About You
RVT: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a progressive veterinary hospital required
VA: Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a progressive veterinary hospital required
Recent graduates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered
Comprehensive understanding and experience with anesthetic monitoring is preferred
Proficiency in processing basic laboratory specimens and working knowledge of radiographic techniques is required
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required. Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment
Passion for providing the highest quality in patient care
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected
Schedule - 2/10 Hour Shifts per week (Days TBD)
Pay Scale Our compensation for this role depends on skillset, experience and licensure.
Veterinary Assistant (VA): $23.00 - $30.00
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): $26.00 - $35.00
