We are looking for a
Certified Veterinary Technician
with proven leadership skills to lead our busy Angell Oncology team.
THE POSITION:
Angell Oncology Services Manager will be responsible for the leadership and direct management of the Oncology Services Team which includes the veterinary support staff and the day to day department operations.
Some responsibilities to include: Supervision, staff development & training, Development & implementation of policies & procedures, quality assurance, along with fiscal responsibilities. The manager communicates and interacts regularly with oncology department personnel in order to maintain a high level of understanding and involvement in daily operations, and looks for way to continually improve processes. The focus for this position is on operations and personnel management versus participation in clinical work. However, the manager should be capable of, and ready to assist, in clinical work as a veterinary technician when necessary. Provides input to assist in the identification of department training needs and ongoing updating of training and safety checklists and department manuals. Meets with staff on a regular basis and participates in hospital manager meetings. COMPENSATION:
This is a salaried position $80,000-$90,000 a year
$5,000 Sign on Bonus for CVTs! Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS: Certified veterinary technician (CVT) through the Massachusetts Veterinary Technician Association (MVTA) or eligible for certification through out-of-state reciprocity. Minimum 3 years veterinary practice experience as a veterinary technician required. 1 Year veterinary oncology experience required. Minimum 2 years previous supervisory and customer service experience required. WHO WE ARE
