Physical Therapist - Outpatient- SRN- Per Diem- San Diego County at Sharp HealthCare Hours: Shift Start Time: Variable; Shift End Time: Variable; AWS Hours Requirement: 8/40 - 8 Hour Shift; Weekend Requirements: As Needed; On-Call Required: No. Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $49.130 - $63.390 - $77.650. The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. What You Will Do

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an approved and accredited professional Physical Therapy school or program. California Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - CA Physical Therapy Board - REQUIRED AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications

Clinical experience as a Physical Therapist. Other Qualification Requirements

CCS Paneling is required for Therapists functioning in a CCS-designated NICU. Paneling is required within 6 months of hire. CCS paneled staff will review and supervise services provided by non-paneled personnel as required by licensure and CCS guidelines in NICU. Essential Functions

Actively participates in departmental goals and advancement of department initiatives. Collaborates with leadership in clinical and operational projects. Participates in CQI, staff meetings, chart review, committees and system-wide activities when requested as a departmental representative. Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner, following Sharp HealthCare guidelines and regulatory requirements. Maintains records for departmental operations and completes documentation elements (Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, Education record, billing, discharge plan, and others). Operational efficiency: communicates patient care and departmental issues; accepts changes and demonstrates flexibility with schedules and assignments; supports departmental cleanliness and safety; meets productivity standards established by leadership. Patient care: evaluates and treats patients within the scope of care appropriate to diagnosis, age and culture; assesses and addresses pain; conducts appropriate assessments; evaluates outcomes and communicates significant changes; participates in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning; collaborates with Case Manager for referrals/transition of therapy needs; participates in NICU rounds if applicable; for CCS Paneled Therapists, may assist with outpatient referrals as directed by physicians.
