PracticeLink . The Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program is responsible for the overall direction of the program, combining clinical teaching with administrative leadership. Position Responsibilities
Implementing the program’s mission, developing curricula, and articulating educational philosophy. Overseeing residency recruitment, curriculum development, and educational environment. Managing resident evaluations, safety, well-being, and professionalism. Administering educational policies, planning residency events, and serving on key committees. Managing educational operations across affiliated hospitals and clinics. Ensuring accreditation standards are met and maintaining regulatory compliance. Participating in clinical practice, faculty development, and fiscal management. Reporting to and collaborating with departmental leadership and supervising faculty and residents. Job Requirements
Board certification in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA). Minimum three years of educational and/or administrative experience. Unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and DEA certification. Medical Degree (MD/DO) and completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency. About UPMC
