Position Overview
The Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson, in collaboration with Banner University Medicine Tucson, seeks a
Board Certified/Board Eligible General Neurologist
to join our esteemed clinical faculty. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide
comprehensive neurological care
to a diverse patient population while actively engaging in the
education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows . The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to
participate in clinical research and scholarly activities
and to work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team
to enhance patient outcomes and advance the departments mission of exceptional patient care, innovative research, and high-quality education. A
faculty appointment commensurate with experience and qualifications , with full faculty status at the University of Arizona, will be provided. Clinical & Academic Environment
The Department of Neurology is committed to providing
comprehensive care across all areas of neurology
while maintaining a strong focus on education and research. Clinical faculty are supported by: State-of-the-art outpatient and inpatient facilities.
Collaborative subspecialty services in epilepsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular medicine, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis, and more.
A thriving neurology residency and fellowship program that fosters academic growth and scholarly engagement.
Research Infrastructure
The Department of Neurology houses a
robust Clinical Research Unit
with dedicated personnel and infrastructure to support
clinical and translational research . This includes: Experienced clinical coordinators and regulatory support staff
Infrastructure for clinical trials, including industry- and investigator-initiated studies
Data management and statistical support resources
This environment provides the foundation for meaningful scholarly productivity and access to
novel therapeutics
and
emerging technologies . Qualifications
MD/DO degree (or equivalent)
Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
Eligibility for an Arizona medical license
Interest in academic teaching and/or clinical research
