Cooper University Health Care (CUH) / Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) invites applicants for an Open Faculty Position in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
About the Position The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) is expanding clinical services, teaching and research programs, and innovative population health initiatives. The faculty position combines clinical care with teaching, scholarly activity, and educational administration. The department is expanding hospital-based services including consultation-liaison (CL), emergency (ED) and inpatient psychiatry. The individual will join a team of attending psychiatrists and advanced practice providers to provide clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, and administrative duties to improve care for medical, surgical, and emergency department patients. Most clinical time will be on the CL/ED service with coverage of inpatient psychiatry as needed.
We have launched Cooper Total Health — an initiative to improve wellness, resilience, and compassionate care for patients and families, transforming patient care at CUH/CMSRU and aiming to improve the public health of southern New Jersey.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical care on the Consultation-Liaison and Emergency Psychiatry services, with inpatient psychiatry coverage as needed.
Teach medical students, residents, and other trainees;
Engage in clinical research and program development;
Assume shared administrative duties within the department.
Contribute to teaching and program administration as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications
Eligible for or have active ACGME board certification in General Psychiatry.
Eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey.
Experience in teaching medical students and residents; involvement in clinical research is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits Appointment and rank commensurate with experience. We offer competitive academic compensation and benefits.

Hourly Rate Max
$239.93
The New Jersey Pay Transparency Act requires disclosure of the pay range for this position. A salary offer will vary based on the job role, candidate experience, qualifications, internal pay equity and market data.
