$140,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Hospital Security Director Blackstone Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Hospital Security Director for their Healthcare Security Client in Southern California. JOB SUMMARY:

The Hospital Security Director oversees the organization’s hospital security operations department. The Hospital Security Director manages the security services and related operations provided to an assigned account including client service and problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, operational effectiveness, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision, and training. This incumbent protects staff and property from theft, damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for managing the entire assigned location’s day to day contracted operations; management and direction of the Sub-Contractor’s site security workforce, liaising with the Customer in-house Security Administrator or equivalent Facilities/Operations executive; acting as the principal site. Directs and manages the security team, ensuring the personal safety and security of hospital members, employees, visitors and the protection of property and assets. Develops, implements, evaluates policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with all legal requirements. Upholds client’s Policies and Procedures, Principles and Responsibilities and applicable state and federal and local laws. Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive and effective security program in accordance with professional standards, (Joint Commission) Federal, State, Local Laws, and Regulations. Ensures staff are fully trained and follow established policies and procedures. Conducts performance evaluations for security staff that are timely and constructive. Develops, implements, and manages service agreements for multi-site security support. Performs security assessments identifying liability, seeks solutions to reduce risk and promotes asset protection of property. Conducts inspections to identify security risks; recommends and implements solutions. Conducts risk management audits and asset loss investigations. Coordinates with local law enforcement and security staff as required to support and/or conduct investigations. Coordinates and integrates new program development, policies, procedures, and systems technology to achieve economy of effort and scale, as well as maximum efficiency and productivity in security services. Track trends, analyzes, and reports on security incidents and recommend improvements to Leaders. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned. CORE COMPETENCIES: Extensive knowledge of hospital security operations. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software. Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures. EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement, Business Management, or related field required. A minimum of 7-10 years of related experience in managing security operation comparable size and complexity to the assigned location, including any appropriate combination of healthcare industry, law enforcement, or military police experience that included management experience. Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred. Minimum Qualifications at Entry: Be 18 years of age and possess an Associate's Degree Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone) The legal right to work in the United States Possess a valid government-issued driver’s license or state-issued I.D. Successfully pass the client’s pre-employment screening process (Drug Test, Health Screen, Criminal Ability to properly wear an N95 mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines while onsite Complete healthcare competency assessment and training on defusing assaultive behaviors Seniority level
