Family Health Centers of San Diego . Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is looking for a Hygiene Dentist to work under the direction of the Dental Director. The Dentist offers and provides general dental care and services to patients. Responsibilities
Completes all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards; documentation complies with patients\' insurance requirements.
Participates in developing and reviewing hygiene protocols, audit procedures, and quality assurance procedures.
Performs preventive dental procedures including dental prophylaxis, root planing and scaling, sealants, and oral health education.
Understands scope of practice. Consults when appropriate and refers patients as necessary to dentist, dental specialists and/or medical providers.
Uses resources efficiently, practices in a cost-effective manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Graduate of accredited Dental School.
License from the State of California as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) required.
DEA license.
General practice residency or equivalent of 2 years clinical experience preferred.
Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advanced Resuscitation Training.
Membership in American Academy of General Dentistry preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.

If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. We also consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
