Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at UHealth Doral and/or Solé Miá in North Miami (9 half days). Solé Miá is opening Fall 2025. He/she will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services to those patients who require Gastroenterology/Hepatology services, and Gastroenterology screening procedures.
Outline of additional responsibilities
Maintain outpatient clinic and endoscopic procedures at UHealth Doral/Solé Miá
Rotate on night and weekend on-call on the medical campus at UHT and JMH, proportionate to other physicians
Rotate on inpatient at UHT or JMH, proportionate to other providers
Qualifications:
MD Degree and ACGME US Internal Medicine internship and residency and GI fellowship
Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or board eligible)
Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
Valid DEA licensure
Current BLS certification required; ACLS
Must be able to provide prerequisite case logs for procedures for prior two years for credentialing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
Close encounters within 72 hours.
