Salary Range : $58.47 - $67.20 The Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW/LMFT) will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, brief treatment, crisis intervention services, and Warm Hand Off services for adult or adolescent members who present themselves with mild to moderate behavioral health needs. Practice within the Collaborative Care Model, working closely with multidisciplinary team members to achieve optimal treatment outcomes for patients. Perform case management duties and contribute to grant projects as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide culturally sensitive, linguistically appropriate assessment. Follow NASW code of ethics. Conduct a thorough bio-psychosocial assessment interview with the patient. Develop comprehensive treatment plans and provide evidence-based therapies, including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, and more. Maintain ongoing engagement with patients to support the improvement of their behavioral health conditions. Collaborate with PCP, psychiatrist/NP, to support and counsel patients with psychoeducation and compliance with prescribed medication regimens. Communicate concerns about medications or side effects to PCP/psychiatrist/NP. Maintain a regular case load. Provide Warm Handoffs between primary care providers and NEMS patients. Document treatments and progress in accordance with state regulations and department procedures. Prepare reports, intakes, treatment plans, and case summaries and maintain ongoing confidential records. Provide case management and referrals to other services (e.g., county ACCESS line, substance abuse treatment, specialty care, and community resources) as needed. Submit timely billing records to the billing department to enable billing for behavioral health services. Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Manager, develop and implement both the quality improvement and outcome evaluation programs for behavioral health services. Participate in grant projects and co-facilitate department case consultation meetings. Perform other job duties as required by the manager. Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited college or university. Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license in the State of California. Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI prior to employment start date. Familiarity with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis. Knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic classifications and corresponding effective treatment interventions supported by current research and practices. Previous clinical responsibilities should include crisis intervention and individual and group psychotherapy. Demonstrated ability to effectively and sensitively provide care to people from different cultural groups. Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards as related to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required. LANGUAGE: Must be fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin). Proficiency in other Asian dialects or additional languages is considered an asset. STATUS: This is an FLSA Exempt position. This is an OSHA high-risk position.
