This work is core to Capital One\'s mission, changing banking for good. As a Product Manager on the C.O.R.E. Product team, you will design and deliver best-in-class, innovative and data-driven technology products that delight customers. We\'re passionate about building platform software for the next generation of technologists at Capital One and are looking for someone excited to build tech platforms at scale.

Role and Focus In this role, you will be a Product Manager focused on GenAI optionality, enabling experimentation, polycloud enablement, cloud infrastructure for emerging Business, data infrastructure, production reliability, and recovery platforms. These products are focused on the Software Engineer user base enabling data, recovery, resiliency and reliability for their software applications. The product will provide cloud and AI tooling optionality for implementing Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities. Your products, polycloud infrastructure will enable the business through agility.

Development Path In this role, you\'ll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we\'ll invest in you to grow in four key areas:

Human Centered

You\'ll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design.

You\'ll breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test.

Business Focused

Demonstrate a growth mindset - effectively use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs.

Support in prioritizing feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk.

Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners.

Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Customer\'s Spokesperson

Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive product growth by aligning it to Capital One\'s mission.

Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.

Technology Driven

Work autonomously in an agile environment, to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology.

Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers.

Deliver well-managed product platforms for customers by seeking to understand technology trends and architecture strategy.

Transformational Teamwork

Actively participate in horizontal forums to build a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, stakeholders and partner teams.

Articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with stakeholders, elevating the team\'s results.

Basic Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

A Master\'s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Understanding of cloud infrastructure well-architected frameworks

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - certification or extensive experience in AWS

Compensation and Benefits The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

New York, NY: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Plano, TX: $175,500 - $200,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

San Francisco, CA: $210,500 - $240,300 for Sr. Mgr, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate\'s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
