Position Summary
Spaulding Cape Cod and it’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Associates of the Massachusetts General Physician Organization is seeking a Board-Certified Physiatrist (PM&R) to join our inpatient team in a full-time, community-based role (no academic or research obligations). The physiatrist will serve as the attending and/or consultant for 12–16 patients, managing both medical and rehabilitation needs alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Daily rounding, admission H&Ps, progress notes, discharge summaries
Rehab-specific documentation: Physician Rehab Assessments, IPOCs, Interdisciplinary Team Conferences (ITCs)
Average 1 admission/day (max 2)
Respond to RRTs and codes as needed
Participate in staff meetings and call rotation, including weekends (typically 1:8)
Engage in hospital or division activities as assigned
Monday–Friday, approx. 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Qualifications
MD/DO, Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
Eligible for MA licensure
Inpatient rehab experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
