Description
Position Highlights: Independently competent in performing all standard diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures including but not limited to diagnostic coronary angiography (natives and grafts), balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting, all types of atherectomy, ventriculography, aortography, right heart catheterization, and pericardiocentesis. On-call shared among the group with a 1:2 STEMI call on weeknights. Read EKGs, treadmill exercise studies, and on rare occasions, Holter and Event monitor studies. Basic understanding of, and troubleshooting skills with, pacemaker/ICD interrogation, interpretation, and programming. Works as part of an integrated team within the Department of Cardiology. Position Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or ECFMG certification. Board Certified in Cardiology and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology. Fellowship trained in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. Minimum of 2 years interventional cardiology experience. Minimum 2-year procedure log required for submission with application. At start date: current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Hawaii.
