GME Program Administrator

Under the direction of the Program Director, screens all applicants for postgraduate training, ensuring application completeness, scheduling interviews, providing administrative support, and maintaining applicant files. Ensures visa-holding medical students and post-graduates maintain immigration status throughout training. Maintains compliance-related paperwork for international medical graduates and post-graduates, including DC Health Professions' registration, licensure, and NPI numbers. Manages residents' financial forms, such as deferment forms. Obtains primary source verification of Medical School graduation as per policy. Maintains post-graduate statistical databases, ERAS, and related systems. Prepares personnel and budget recommendations for postgraduate trainees annually. Coordinates orientation activities for new and returning residents with various hospital offices. Acts as liaison among licensure boards, residency review committees, medical schools, hospitals, students, and staff. Handles incoming correspondence, responds to requests, and manages inquiries efficiently. Assists in preparing and monitoring the program budget and expenditures. Prepares purchase requisitions and documents for stipends, travel, and educational activities. Monitors and approves resident time and attendance via Kronos, maintaining leave logs. Creates and updates schedules for residents and distributes them accordingly. Prepares files for residents completing their training, ensuring all licensing and credentialing paperwork is complete. Generates reports for accreditation, evaluations, and other metrics. Coordinates seminars, examinations, and safeguards testing processes. Assists in updating policies, procedures, curriculum, and affiliation agreements, providing suggestions for improvements. Qualified candidates will possess: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or at least three (3) years of substantive administrative experience, preferably in an academic setting or accreditation environment.
