Overview
Job Title: Ophthalmologist
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye diseases.
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with various eye conditions.
Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery.
Prescribe medications and corrective lenses as needed.
Educate patients and their families about eye health and preventive care.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and related technologies.
Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with a specialization in Ophthalmology.
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
Board certification in Ophthalmology is preferred.
Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
