The Power and System Group (PSG) group develops monolithic Bucks, Boosts, Buck-Boosts, Linear Regulators, Supervisory and Protection products for the ADI power franchise. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Application and Product Definition Director. Reporting to the Marketing and System PSG Managing Director, the Application and Product Definition Director and his/her team will be responsible for all the technical activities related to customer and sales support of the PSG product portfolio. These activities will require close collaboration with design, evaluation and marketing engineers within PSG, as well as ADI Field personnel and customers. The main responsibilities include: Ownership of the product portfolios customer and sales technical support Lead and manage development of all supporting materials for new product introduction Lead and manage new product concept ideation process, initial technical specifications development Lead and manage team to provide primary technical interface with Sales, FAE, and customers. Drive new design in/win opportunities and technical training. Lead and manage team to evaluate new product with customer in mind and provide report to design and for customer use Collaborate with the marketing team to define product requirements based on customer and market needs Qualifications: 10+ years engineering experience 5+ years experience in product and customer support working with customers and colleagues in international environments 3+ years technical management experience Strong oral, written and presentation communications skills MSEE minimum with power Semiconductor specialty a plus Developed strategic thinking Up to 20% travel, some international, required For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
