Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our Anesthesiology team, providing direct patient care and contributing to clinical research, education, and training in the fields of Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Respiratory Therapy. This role involves conducting preoperative and postoperative evaluations, delivering or supervising anesthetic care for surgical patients, and supporting acute pain management services. The successful candidate will utilize advanced equipment to monitor anesthesia effects and help develop innovative techniques that minimize post-operative care requirements. Additional responsibilities include maintaining ACLS certification, delivering lectures and operating room training for residents, participating in relevant hospital committees, and fostering strong collaborative relationships with clinicians at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and other leading cancer care institutions.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License and Certification Requirement 1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York. 2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in the field of Anesthesiology or in a specialty of Pain Management or Respiratory Therapy. Education and Experience Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Anesthesiology or in a specialty of Pain Management or Respiratory Therapy.

NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Roswell Park developed photodynamic therapy (PDT), approved by the FDA for the treatment of esophageal cancer and non-small cell lung cancer, and precancerous lesions in patients with Barrett's esophagus.Roswell Park is now developing the second generation of PDT drugs. Roswell Park geneticists created the gene library used to map and sequence the human genome. An Roswell Park geneticist was part of the research team involved in the international effort.
