Full Time Chief Psychiatrist in Custody Health for a Large Public Health and Hospital System in Silicon Valley Better Health for All County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full time Chief Psychiatrist in Custody Health to join our Custody Psychiatry team. About the Organization
County of Santa Clara Health System (CSCHS) is the second-largest County-owned health and hospital system in California and is committed to improving the health of the 1.9 million people of Santa Clara County. SCVH is comprised of four hospitals: SCVMC (731 beds), O’Connor Hospital (358 beds), Saint Louise Regional Hospital (93 beds) and Regional Medical Center (258 beds). It also includes a network of primary care clinics, urgent care clinics, dental services, primary care behavioral health services, and a broad range of specialty services. SCVMC hosts four residency programs and one fellowship, and partners with Stanford University SOM and Stanford Healthcare for clinical training. SCVMC is an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, an ABA-verified Burn Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Level 4 NICU, and a CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center. The system uses an integrated electronic health record (Epic). HIMSS recognized SCVMC for Stage 7 for inpatient and outpatient EHR optimization. About the Community

Custody Health provides integrated care including internal/family medicine, mental health, dental, OB/GYN, rehabilitation medicine, optometry, and more. The mental health division employs 13 providers and a team of 59 clinicians (LMFT, MFT, LCSW, CSW) providing therapy, case management and discharge planning. A team of 8 psychologists supports therapy, risk evaluations, and testing. The division focuses on quality improvement and better patient care. Custody Health also includes a Consultation and Liaison psychiatry service for inpatient consults to internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, pediatrics, trauma, rehab, and the ED, with close collaboration among specialties. The custody and acute psychiatry services work with emergency, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry teams. About the Position
This position requires board certification in psychiatry or board eligibility with a clear plan to certify. Preferred candidates will have at least 3 years of progressive medical leadership experience in custody psychiatry and/or acute inpatient psychiatry. This position includes leadership differential compensation and dedicated administrative time. About Compensation and Benefits
