This includes establishing and implementing policies, strategies, and processes for multiple products and lines of businesses.
The role reports to the Chief Risk Officer and leads the second line of defense as it relates to regulatory compliance oversight of the organization.
**As Chief Compliance Officer, you will:*** Develop, implement, and maintain an effective risk-based regulatory compliance strategy and program (covering, but not limited to, AML/CTF and BSA compliance). Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to integrate compliance into the enterprise risk framework* Conduct regulatory-related risk assessments to inform the organization as to its risk profile and necessary areas of improvement.* Develop and implement regulatory compliance training for the organization, in partnership with other stakeholders.* Monitor and stay informed on proposed and enacted regulations. Lead change management initiatives as needed for alignment with new requirements.* Develop and maintain policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.
Oversee regulatory compliance reporting, documentation and issue resolution.* In collaboration with the legal team, manage regulatory compliance filings (e.g., SARs) and communications with external bodies, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.* Conduct and/or oversee the monitoring and analysis of transactions for suspicious activity.* Ensure timely and accurate filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).* Conduct regular quality assurance reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of the regulatory compliance program and alignment with regulatory requirements. Perform targeted testing and audits to verify that business operations comply with established policies, standards, and processes, and recommend improvements where needed* Act as the Bank’s primary liaison during regulatory exams, internal audits, and third-party assessments on matters related to regulatory compliance.* Communicate the results of monitoring to line of business managers and senior management, with follow up on issue remediation and escalation of matters as appropriate.* Provide periodic reporting to the Board and management on the state of regulatory compliance and any significant emerging matters.* Monitor and assess the treatment of customers through the Bank’s complaints process.* Support the achievement of organizational and departmental goals by attracting, recruiting and onboarding talent.

Under the Iowa Supreme Court rules governing the practice of law, all work involving the provision of legal services is to be done under the supervision of a lawyer.***To be successful in this role you will need:**
**Education:*** Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience (required).* CRCM, CAMS or CFCS certifications preferred**Experience:*** Minimum of 10 years of work experience in financial institutions with 7 years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Compliance, Audit, AML/CFT, Fraud risk management).* Subject matter expertise in relevant compliance topics, including but not limited to implementing compliance management systems and Fair Lending programs.* Strong knowledge of banking regulations (FDIC, OCC, Federal Reserve), AML/KYC, and consumer protection laws.* Experience with compliance audits, regulatory exams, and policy development.**Computer Skills*** Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint and InfoPath a plus.
