Overview

Site Quality Leader – GE Aerospace. Product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes. Roles and Responsibilities

Manages a team of direct reports with ownership including both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes, and conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc. Lead technical and NDT inspection teams with strategic mindset to continue to develop site inspection into a world class organization. Communicate, monitor and maintain site compliance as Compliance Leader with focus on the Spirit and the Letter of GE Aerospace. Attract and retain talent providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization. Supports the integration of Lean and Quality to optimize the use of Lean and quality tools. Monitor, coach and coordinate the delivery of training on topics such as RCCA, PFMEA, Print to Planning, process improvements, MSA, capability studies and digital solutions. Leverage resources and expertise from across the Part Family and other sites. Deep understanding and capability to coach on the Aerospace Quality System and drive ownership and accountability at all levels of the organization. Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employ sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interact with adjacent functions to solve issues. Evaluate quality of information and resolve conflicting data for analysis. Use multiple internal and external resources to arrive at a decision. Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Present solutions to leaders and communicate complex messages. Influence peers to take action and negotiate as needed with internal stakeholders and external partners, vendors, or customers. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience) Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or quality experience Desired Characteristics

Proven track record of high levels of shop floor engagement and leadership in cultural change Experience in a regulated, union environment Understanding of key quality improvement and lean tools, including problem solving and RCCA, Mistake Proofing, PFMEA Self-motivated leader with ability to motivate others and achieve results Commitment to process improvement Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification Humility, adaptability, eagerness to learn Transparency in communication and constructive collaboration Focused and strategic prioritization; strong leadership and decision-making Analytical problem solver with ability to challenge existing processes Benefits and Additional Information
