Overview The Family Medicine Physician will specialize in caring for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of patients and their families. They are trained to care for all ages, from children age 5 to senior adults. Family practitioners treat the whole person and diagnose and treat a wide range of problems. A referral from a family doctor is not always necessary to schedule an appointment with a Kelsey-Seybold specialist, but the family doctor coordinates care with specialty physicians and other members of the care team. Primary Responsibilities: See patients in an outpatient setting Monday–Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, including new patients and corporate physicals Participate in the Family Medicine Call group. On-call about once per month, either on a weekday or a weekend day; weekend day is shared with another physician. Call involves answering patient questions for physicians in the call group Conduct annual physicals and wellness exams Provide preventive medicine Required Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD, DO) Accredited Family Medicine Residency training Licensed or able to be licensed in the State of Texas Board Certified or Board Eligible Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency Compensation and Benefits: Compensation generally ranges from $226,000 to $366,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and depends on factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and productivity. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (eligibility applies). A broad set of benefits and incentives is available regardless of start time.
