Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist with fellowship training and/or substantial experience in the treatment of children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders to serve the needs of patients at BTNRH. This individual will work with our rapidly expanding Neurodevelopmental team to diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric patients suffering from specific neurologic and developmental disorders, mainly including Autism, Down’s Syndrome, and neurogenetic conditions. This role may also involve participation in clinical research, clinical trials, basic research, and translational research.
Responsibilities:
Provides direct subspecialty pediatric neurology care to hospital and clinic patients.
Coordinates the development of pediatric neurology services at BTNRH.
Serves as a medical member of multi-disciplinary evaluation and remediation teams, focusing on children and adolescents with neurological disorders.
Collaborates with hospital staff on clinical and basic research projects.
Participates in educational programs at Boys Town National Research Hospital for undergraduate and graduate medicine, nursing, allied health, and research students.
Develops program and project objectives, staffing needs, and manages resources for medical programs.
Undertakes special projects as directed by the Director, BTNRH.
Possesses the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly, maintain professional ethics, assess and solve problems, and keep accurate patient records.
Provides patient care and education tailored to the patient population.
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
Accredited residency and/or fellowship training in pediatrics, neurology, and child neurology, leading to eligibility for Board Certification in Child Neurology.
Board certification in Neurology with qualifications in child neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Medical licensure in Nebraska.
Post-fellowship experience preferred but not required.
Ability to qualify for hospital staff privileges at BTNRH and maintain them.
