Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of rheumatologic conditions, including but not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and gout.
Conduct thorough histories, physical examinations, and order/interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, imaging, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending infusions, physical therapy, or lifestyle modifications.
Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians and specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and disease management strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements and practice policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and staff training.
Qualifications:
MD with Rheumatology Fellowship completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
Active and unrestricted state medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
Strong clinical skills in musculoskeletal examination and autoimmune disease management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Preferred Skills: Experience with infusion therapies and biologic medications. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
