The Gastroenterology team at the Larner College of Medicine, the University of Vermont Medical Center, and the University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join their growing Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The role involves diagnosis and treatment of liver disease and digestive disorders, with competence in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. The University of Vermont Robert Larner MD College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Health Network are leaders in patient care, medical education, and research. The division serves 6 hospitals in Vermont and Upstate New York. The ideal candidate will be based at both the University of Vermont Medical Center (Burlington) and Porter Hospital (Middlebury). The appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, Clinical Scholar Pathway, in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. We seek an outstanding Gastroenterologist committed to clinical care and medical education. Interests in resident, fellow education, and clinical research are encouraged. The Medical Center is Vermont’s only tertiary care hospital and Level 1 trauma center. The position offers an established patient population, a vibrant academic environment, and an academic faculty appointment with the Larner College of Medicine. Burlington and Middlebury are scenic lake-side college towns offering outdoor activities, cultural events, an international airport, and access to Boston and Montreal. Compensation includes competitive salary, benefits, relocation assistance, loan repayment (UVMMC), and potential sign-on bonus (UVMMC).
