Overview
The Department of Pediatrics at SSM Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital, Division of Pediatric Cardiology is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric cardiologist with advanced training in Interventional cardiology to join a growing, well-established group of academic cardiologists. Responsibilities
Caring for children and adults with congenital heart disease needing cardiac catheterization for diagnosis and management. Share call and coverage of the cath lab for scheduled and after-hours emergent cases; all division members rotate in covering general pediatric cardiology night and weekend call. Clinical duties include inpatient service coverage (rotating) and seeing patients in an outpatient clinic (approximately 1.5 days/week). Academic activities including teaching, research, and administration. Team and Facilities
The Cardiac Cath lab Team will be composed of 2 Pediatric Interventional Cardiologists supported by 6 experienced cath lab personnel. The division is housed within the Dorothy and Larry Dallas Heart Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital and includes a pediatric cardiology fellowship training program. The heart center includes a congenital heart surgery program with 2 surgeons and approximately 300 cases/year; a 65-bed Level IV NICU; a 20-bed PICU; a hybrid cath lab/operating suite; and a dedicated electrophysiology laboratory suite. A new free-standing Childrens Hospital is under construction to include 2 cath labs (one hybrid lab) and a 24-bed cardiac floor. Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree; board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics; eligible for medical licensure in Missouri. Completion of an ACGME-accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology with additional training in pediatric Interventional cardiology. Visa candidates are welcome to apply. How to Apply
