Tenured Research Faculty - Department of Dermatology, University of Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis. The department seeks outstanding applicants for a faculty position focused on bioinformatics and dermato-oncology. Researchers with a focus in inflammation, inflammatory dermatoses, immuno-oncology, immune checkpoint biology and novel therapeutics development are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
Candidates are expected to have postdoctoral training, track record of scholarship and history of successful grant funding. Successful candidates are expected to have and/or obtain independent, externally funded, and sustainable scholarly research program. Participate in Department of Dermatology faculty and research activities, teach medical students as well as residents. Allocation: 20% clinical effort seeing dermatology patients; some time teaching residents and medical students. 80% research effort overseeing development and completion of research projects; writing grant proposals; preparing manuscripts. Rank: Associate Professor with tenure. Salary commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience based on University of Minnesota Medical School faculty pay scales. Facilities

Required Qualifications: PhD, MD, MD/PhD or equivalent in relevant research areas. Candidate should be certified or eligible for certification by American Board of Dermatology. Preferred Qualifications: Training in bioinformatics Experience as a principal investigator developing grant proposals with evidence of success in obtaining funding Excellent communication skills demonstrated by presentations Evidence of research excellence through awards, presentations and/or publications Evidence of multidisciplinary collaborations Active clinical license to practice Dermatology About the Department

Pay Range:
This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort and begins at $52,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary range will be $405,000 to $455,000. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
