PeaceHealth is a well-established, financially stable multi-specialty provider group seeking a Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalist interested in an exciting opportunity to be part of the future of PeaceHealth.
The physician will be responsible for the care of children admitted to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Oregon. The facility features a dedicated 16-bed pediatric unit in a modern, well-equipped hospital completed in 2008. It handles approximately 2,500 deliveries annually and has a Level 3 NICU with 24-hour neonatologist coverage. Attendance at high-risk deliveries is provided by a resuscitation team and neonatologists. Pediatricians also cover some NICU admits for intensive observation or neonates with level 2 acuity.
Complex patients are transferred to the PICU in Portland if necessary. Telemedicine consultations are available 24/7 with the PICU. Credentialing for moderate sedation is required. Attendance at weekly hospital case conferences is expected. Weekend coverage averages 1-2 weekends per month, and night call is required.
