The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is actively interviewing board certified/eligible Pediatric Neurosurgeons to join our growing clinical faculty and multidisciplinary team, including neurology, nursing, neuroradiology, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation services. This is a unique opportunity within a rapidly growing academic neuroscience inpatient and ambulatory elective program. Our 649-bed hospital is located at the University of Arizona Health Sciences in Tucson, Arizona. Banner University Medical Center Tucson has been nationally recognized for providing exceptional patient care, teaching new health care professionals, and conducting groundbreaking research through the physician-scientists of the University of Arizona College of Medicine. The medical center is currently certified as a Primary and Comprehensive Stroke Center and designated as the only Level 1 trauma center in the Southern Arizona region. Position Highlights

The selected individual provides top-notch clinical care to pediatric patients using advanced surgical tools, including intra-operative frameless image-guided systems and minimally invasive spinal or skull base equipment. Surgical services are provided at Banner University Medical Center Tucson, with clinical services at an outpatient site nearby. The department maintains an active neurosurgery training program, and teaching is encouraged. Protected research time may be available depending on the candidate’s background, training, and interests. The successful candidate will have a full appointment within the Department of Neurosurgery and will participate in teaching, academic activities, and clinical research opportunities. Work-Life Balance

Mon-Fri; Monthly rotating call with excess; Productivity-focused; No weekend work (call may be required). Minimum Requirements

Pediatric Neurosurgery training/experience is required; candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible Experience with trauma is desirable Skill in teaching residents and openness to research opportunities are a plus Experienced and new graduates are encouraged to apply Compensation Highlights
