The breadth of experience and expertise of 27 Board-certified or Board-eligible orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine doctors or physiatrists serves our patients well by providing a high level of comprehensive care in every major orthopedic specialty. The Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (Orthopedic) will diagnose and treat conditions of the feet, ankles, and lower legs caused by bone, joint, ligament, and muscle disorders. This will be carried out by reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and ordering x-rays and laboratory tests. We are seeking a

www.newportortho.com/careers Job Duties: Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results. Consults with inter-professional team on the care of patients. Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery; sets fractures. Administers medications and local anesthetics. Records all diagnoses, treatments, and prescriptions. Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner. Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems. Conducts training or assists in the training of residents. All other duties as needed. Requirements:
Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine conferred by a podiatric medical school accredited by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education and approved by the Medical Board of California's Board of Podiatric Medicine. Successful completion of at least three years of a post-graduate podiatric medicine and surgery residency approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education. Valid and current California State license to practice the full scope of podiatric medicine as issued by the California State Board of Podiatric Medicine of the California Medical Board. Locations:
