Position Description:
The University of Iowa Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking candidates for Joint Replacement Surgery faculty position. Appointment rank may be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level and to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.
Education Requirement:
The candidate must hold an MD, DO or equivalent degree from an accredited or recognized medical or osteopathic school.
The candidate must have graduated from a fully accredited orthopedic residency.
The candidate must have completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement.
Required Qualifications:
The candidate must be eligible for and successfully obtain an Iowa medical license prior to commencement.
Certifications:
The candidate must be a Board-certified or Board-eligible orthopedic surgeon.
Desirable Qualifications:
Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed and appreciated; or demonstrated the ability to do so.
