The
Center Medical Director
provides medical care for InnovAge PACE enrolled participants across various settings, including clinics, participants’ homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Direct hospital inpatient care is not required, but coordination with hospital-based providers is essential. The role also includes oversight of daily medical operations, supervision of physicians and nurse practitioners, and involvement in budget, quality, and resource management. Physical presence at InnovAge facilities or participant homes is required.
Primary Care - 65%
Provide medical care to enrolled participants, including evaluation, diagnosis, management, and documentation of medical conditions, prescriptions, and follow-up.
Document care in medical records, support EMR enhancements, and participate in after-hours triage as part of on-call duties.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care plans and new medical programs.
Administrative & Supervision - 35%
Assist with budget preparation and explain variances.
Report on utilization and participate in quality initiatives.
Handle grievances, lead strategic initiatives, and coordinate team meetings.
Recruit, hire, and supervise primary care staff, fostering a positive work environment.
Conduct regular leadership meetings to promote team collaboration and development.
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty (must pass boards within 12 months)
Active Medical License in practicing state
DEA License with prescriptive authority
Not on the Preclusion List
At least one year experience with the frail or elderly
Compensation:
$361,000 annually
