Position Requirements:
Active and Unrestricted Medical License in ANY State
Must be Board eligible or Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of Medicine. Licensure: Must have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) in the U.S. jurisdiction within which the HCW is performing at the place of performance.
Active DEA Registration OR CDS
Active ACLS, BCLS, BLS
Possess a minimum of one year of experience actively practicing as a full-time Board Eligible or Board Certified Physician certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology during the last year, enabling him/her to perform the specific tasks listed for their specialty.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide routine and emergent anesthesia care for neonatal through geriatric patients with ASA classifications I-VI.
Perform routine preoperative evaluations and provide regional and general anesthesia care across various subspecialties including general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, cardiothoracic, vascular, dentistry, neurosurgery, urology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, podiatry, and dermatology.
Oversee anesthesia administration by nurse anesthetists; administer anesthesia to patients with challenging conditions; perform nerve blocks for pain management.
Manage recovery room activities, including drug and respiratory therapy, and use of mechanical ventilators in recovery and ICU settings.
Provide consultation on preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care; perform administrative duties including documentation and quality assurance.
Participate in anesthesia training, emergency responses, and continuing medical education; may involve teaching roles with staff, students, and residents.
Maintain all required training and document medical care according to policies and standards.
