Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, are seeking a

Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology

to lead our OB/GYN department and serve as the academic leader for Tufts Medicine. This leadership role involves shaping the strategy and operations of women’s health across our system, reporting directly to the President of the Faculty Practice and the Dean/Chief Academic Officer. Key Responsibilities

Advance the strategic vision for Tufts Medical Center’s OB/GYN programs. Build and integrate OB/GYN services for Tufts Medicine. Coordinate with related service leaders to support academic and clinical missions, including research, education, and faculty development. Promote health equity and ensure equitable access to OB/GYN services. Lead practices focused on quality improvement, clinical efficiency, and patient value. Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to maintain value-based care models and industry relationships. About Our Programs

Our OB/GYN services include holistic care in Boston, Braintree, and Norwood, with specialized clinics such as the Asian Access OB/GYN Clinic, Maternal Fetal Medicine, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology. We are committed to culturally sensitive healthcare and support high-risk pregnancies and cancer care. Research & Education

Active involvement in clinical trials and research in areas like pregnancy complications, HPV prevention, healthcare disparities, and more. Home to the Mother Infant Research Institute (MIRI), focusing on lifelong health effects of pregnancy. Supported by the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Principal teaching system for Tufts University School of Medicine, with opportunities for endowed academic appointments. Training programs include OB/GYN residency, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Gynecology Oncology fellowships. Candidate Profile

Experienced physician leader with a successful track record in OB/GYN program development and academics. Mentor committed to supporting professional growth. Board certified in OB/GYN or subspecialties. Eligible for an academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level. Knowledgeable in healthcare quality, resource management, outcomes, safety, and patient experience. Skilled in building diverse, inclusive teams aligned with our mission and vision.
