Overview
TRANSPLANT HEPATOLOGY and GASTROENTEROLOGY – Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMC-P). The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is recruiting BC/BE Hepatologist to join its current academic faculty team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a Hepatologist with training and experience in managing all aspects of liver disease to advance in academic medicine at the assistant or associate level. The role includes providing transplant care to patients with end-stage liver disease, focusing on pre- and post-transplant care, and managing a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice. The Hepatologists work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and participate in selection committee activities, quality assurance initiatives, education and research in the growing program. The position offers opportunities to contribute to education and training of Internal Medicine/GI residents, fellows and medical students within an academic setting, including teaching and mentorship, presenting at departmental meetings, involvement with GI/Hepatology clinical research (including national presentations) and opportunities for clinical research training through a Masters in Clinical Research pathway. Responsibilities
Provide transplant care to patients with end-stage liver disease, including all phases of pre- and post-transplant care. Manage a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice as part of a multidisciplinary team. Engage in education and research activities within the division (mentorship of trainees, presentations at meetings, and clinical research). Contribute to selection processes and quality assurance initiatives related to transplant hepatology. Qualifications
