Overview
AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a Radiation Oncologist to join a two-physician practice location at AdventHealth Sebring, approximately 90 minutes south of Orlando. This is a seasonal coverage position for general oncology care. Services include all linac-based external beam therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, and potential brachytherapy program development. Support staff includes nursing, patient access, RTT staff, an on-site physicist, nurse navigator, and a full-time APP. The clinic has two Varian accelerators and CT-simulation on site, including a TrueBeam installed in 2022. EPIC is used for EMR and Aria for treatment planning. Join an employed practice of 25 radiation oncologists providing services among many AdventHealth sites in Central Florida. The group focuses on high clinical quality and patient satisfaction. Physicians collaborate with medical and radiation staff, supported by AdventHealth Cancer Institute and physician leadership for clinical trials within a multidisciplinary care model. AdventHealth Research Institute supports clinical trial access and physician leadership with Radiation Oncology dedicated staff. AdventHealth is a member of Alliance and NRG Oncology and participates in numerous industry-supported trials. Responsibilities
Provide general oncology care with linac-based external beam therapies, radiopharmaceuticals, and potential brachytherapy program development. Collaborate with a comprehensive support team, including nursing, RTT staff, on-site physicist, nurse navigator, and APP. Utilize EPIC for EMR and Aria for treatment planning. Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology Team player with patient-first mindset Excellent communication skills Eligibility for active Florida license Ability to collaborate closely and build relationships with key referral partners Practice Description
