Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Willing to Train

We are seeking adedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) tojoin our growing Neurosurgery team. This is an outstanding opportunity for bothexperienced providers and new graduates or early-career APPs, as we are willingto provide comprehensive training to candidates with a strong clinicalfoundation and a passion for surgical care. The Neurosurgery APPwill assist with the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients withneurological disorders, both in the hospital and clinic settings, and will playan active role in first-assisting in the OR. We are also willing to assist with relocation or travel expenses for theright candidate. Responsibilities: Conduct hospital rounds, consults, andpost-operative follow-ups under the supervision of neurosurgeons First assist in the operating room forneurosurgical procedures Perform and assist with bedsideprocedures within scope of practice Manage patient care in the clinic,including pre- and post-op evaluations and conservative management Educate patients and families regardingdiagnosis, treatment options, surgical care, and follow-up plans Collaborate with neurosurgeons, nursingstaff, and other specialists to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Document all patient encounters andprocedures accurately in the EMR Participate in call coverage as part ofa team rotation (shared call) Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant program Current or eligible South Dakota license BLS and ACLS required (or ability toobtain prior to start) Surgical or neurology/neurosurgeryexperience is a plus—but training will be provided Strong communication, organizational,and critical thinking skills Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and hands-on environment
