Full-Time Director of Nursing Division/Program

Youth Inpatient Psychiatric Health Facility Starting Compensation

107,135 - 128,562 USD Per Year Working Location

Bakersfield, CA Working Hours/Shift

Schedule will include 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day, with core hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Scheduling may be adjusted as needed to support program operations. Compensation Highlights

$10,000 sign-on bonus, distributed in three installments: $2,500 within 90 days of employment; $2,500 after six months; $5,000 upon completion of one year. This position is eligible for a relocation stipend. Benefits & Perks

Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing required. Degree levels: Associate, Bachelor, or Master in Nursing preferred. For Nursing Administration experience: Associate’s degree — four (4) years; Bachelor’s degree — one (1) year; Master’s degree — one (1) year in nursing administration required. Prior experience as Nursing Supervisor in an acute psychiatric setting/skilled nursing preferred. Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California required. A valid California Driver’s License required. How you will make a difference

Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff and provide directions to other program staff as needed. Responsible for performance evaluations, progressive discipline, and/or termination as appropriate. Supervise the direct nursing care provided by all nursing staff. Ensure staff compliance with CPR, Stars University annual training, Pro-Act, 5150 and other regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain service objectives, nursing practice standards, policy and procedure manuals, and written job descriptions for all nursing personnel. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation in the medical record. Coordinate and participate in Monthly Licensed Nursing Meetings and other department meetings. Participate in the On-Call Rotation and may provide coverage for direct care shifts and other shifts within licensure/certification. Division/Program Overview
