Oral Surgeon
to join our Oral Surgery Department as a clinician and core faculty member in our Oral Surgery Residency Program. Denver Health is a leading safety net institution, community academic medical center, and patient home providing care to all patients regardless of ability to pay. It is a 555-bed Level I Trauma Center with a broad system that includes The Denver Department of Public Health, the Denver Paramedics, and 10 primary care sites across the Denver Metro area. The system provides substantial uncompensated care and operates a large volume of ambulatory and surgical services. OMFS Program Denver Health is home to an OMFS 4 year training program that selects 2 trainees per year. Trainees meet core objectives across clinical areas including oral and maxillofacial surgery, anesthesia, medicine, cardiology, pediatric medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery, surgical intensive care, otolaryngology, and plastic surgery. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, talented surgeon to join our faculty and participate in clinical and residency education for future generations of oral surgeons. In addition to residency responsibilities, attendings in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery will have the opportunity to practice full scope hospital-based surgery and to develop a faculty practice in a state-of-the-art facility at our Outpatient Medical Center. Responsibilities include covering resident clinics and being appointed a faculty rank at the University of Colorado commensurate with experience. Ideal candidates are those who care deeply about providing care to underrepresented patient populations, resident education, and service, and who want to join a program dedicated to creating an environment where residents can grow and thrive. Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and must be able to secure a Colorado State Dental and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery License prior to appointment.
