The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, is seeking a dynamic physician educator to join the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery & Gynecology Division.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and communication skills. The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in clinical care, an academic track record performing or participating in scholarly activity, and a commitment to the education and development of colleagues and trainees. Principal clinical assignments will be to provide office-based and surgical care for Gynecology patients at Parkland Hospital; clinical coverage and obstetrics and gynecological services at either Clement’s University Hospital or UT Southwestern Frisco, as well as teaching and mentoring to our students, residents and fellows.
Candidates must have a medical degree; completed an accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology; and have attained or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Completion of an AAGL approved Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Additionally, special interest and expertise in chronic pelvic pain, vulvar disorders, and/or perimenopausal care will be given special consideration. A track record of strong clinical and surgical competence is required.
