Assist in most aspects of drug distribution that do not require a pharmacist's professional judgment, including preparing sterile products and chemotherapy, managing controlled substances, and other specialized duties under pharmacist supervision. Minimum Qualifications:

For West Virginia Pharmacy Techs:

High school diploma or equivalent. Four years of pharmacy technician or healthcare experience, nationally certified (PTCB or EXCPT) within 15 months of hire, and registered with the state Board of Pharmacy within 15 months of hire (except PA). Complete job-specific competencies or obtain specialty certification within 90 days of hire. Register with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician trainee upon hire (except PA). For Maryland Pharmacy Techs:

High school diploma or equivalent. Four years of pharmacy technician experience and registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Complete job-specific competencies or obtain specialty certification within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree, post-high school science education, or pharmacy technician training program graduate. Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in reading physicians' orders, preparing and delivering medications, managing inventory, labeling products, performing calculations, and maintaining records. Support sterile product preparation, manage controlled substances, and participate in safety and quality improvement projects. Certain duties are restricted to pharmacists by law. Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods, lift up to 30 pounds, push 50 pounds, and handle dexterity tasks. Work Environment:
